It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s….a strange version of Edward Cullen?
Our infamous comic book superhero, Superman, sports a new face-lift and ensemble in the new book “Superman: Earth One,” that recreates the iconic character as a shaggy-haired 20-year-old in a hoodie.
What happened to the good old red, blue and yellow outfit with the cape that our hero once wore? What happened to the proud, trustworthy look he had? What happened to his muscles? He now looks like an angry teenager with some crazy laser-red eyes that may take your lunch money.
This Superman of the 21st century is said to be coming to terms with his superpowers in this new book, therefore giving him a new look. However, instead of saving the world, he looks like he just learned that he has fangs and is getting ready to sink his teeth into his next victim. This new Superman has shadow-y eyes, protruding veins in his hands and a Justin Bieber haircut. Since when is this the guy who has pecs the size of Mexico and saves peoples’ lives?
Debuting in comic book shops last month, this $19.95 hardcover book is said to be aimed prominently at the younger market.
