I Want To Be My Own Boss

I Want To Be My Own Boss

I want to be my own boss.

I want to not have to wake up out of my good sleep and have to worry about a boss nagging me all day. Shoot, I was probably dreaming good too, and just because I have to go clock into a job now, I got to stop my dream short.

I would rather be my own boss. I would rather not have to rely on anyone to get the job done but me. I’m not saying I’m the world’s most reliable person but at least if there’s a mistake that happens I would be the only one responsible for that. I wouldn’t have to check anyone else but myself. It would give me an opportunity for me to better myself going forward instead of hearing it from someone else.

I really want to open up a media studio one day. Like a fire media studio though. A media studio for people who aren’t heard. For people who were skipped passed. For people who were forgotten. People who have dreams to be successful with their business just like me. I want a huge building with different businesses inside of it.

Boom, let me put you on.

There’s going to be all types of business in my studio. There’s going to be a studio where artists can record their hottest tracks. A studio where the grooviest dancers can bust a move in their own space. A studio where video editors and graphic designers can use their creativity to make movies that will change the way people view life, while actors and actresses are helping make that become a reality. I want to build a podcast room for those who may be too shy to show their face but know they have something special. Their voice. A room where creators can come together and allow ideas to flow across the room while in the comfort of their own skin. A podcast show where fantasies beyond imagination come to reality by the sound of their voice. Being able to provide a space where all of these content creators can come together in a space where everyone is like-minded is my desire.

That’s just one side of the building. Yes, there are two sides. On the other side of the building is a little switch-up. I want the other side to be the Self Care Center. And yeah, I don’t have a name for the media side of the building but it’s in the works. But for this side, I want barbershops for the guys so they can all come together and share that quality time with one another. There’s just something about getting a fresh shapeup and a fade while cracking jokes in the barbershop. I want a section to also have massage therapists. I don’t even know if that’s what you call them but it sure does feel like therapy while getting one. A nail salon where women can get a fresh set and be on their way ready to enjoy the weekend. Hair salons too. I love a woman who keeps her hair done and is always staying on point with her looks. Not saying that looks are everything but you get what I mean. Being able to create a safe place where people can express self-care is very important to me.

The greatest part about this whole idea is the people who will be working in the building will be people who are close to me. People I can call on in time of need. People who I consider family. Being able to work with someone who knows in and out and feels comfortable with go’s a long way. Probably more than people think it does. I want to surround myself with like-minded people who are going to motivate me to do better and be better as I do the same for them. People are going to be able to correct me when I’m wrong and help me improve from my mistakes. People who I can have a relationship with outside of work. I want to create a place where people can grow. A place where people can achieve their dreams who were once considered the underdog.
