Team of I
who cares what they think
How much do you do to please other people? If you really think about it most of us are so caught up in what other people think about us, that we forget who we really are.
Lately I notice tons of people signing up for year long gym memberships and only going to the gym 3 weeks out of the whole year.
What’s the point?
People change the way they dress, speak and even what they eat just to create the appearance of something they are totally not. It kills me to see people’s spirits broken because they think the way they look is not acceptable in today’s society. I see guys joke on girls because of their weight and I see girls joke on guys because of the way they dress.
The point I’m trying to make is that you can only be yourself. (If that makes any sense) The flaws that you obtain make you who you are. The worst thing a person can do in my opinion is to think that there is some type of social standard that they must live up to otherwise they do not count.
It’s our imperfections that make us perfect. If you live to please other people then you will never have time to please yourself. I know the things I said may sound very cliche but it’s the truth. People made fun of me half my life growing up. I never changed though, and by being myself I gained a whole lot of respect.
So just think about making yourself happy before you go out and try to please other people. At the end of the day if your a genuine person people will take a liking to you regardless. If there are some changes in your life that you want to make, do it because you want to do it, not because of any outside influence.
