The Power Of Words
February 26, 2016
We often don’t realize the power we have. The ability to convey our thoughts into a message that another human can understand. This unique expression is unlike any form of communication between any other animals. This perplexing power to verbalize conversations and to enter others minds without even being there. We have the capability to bring joy or to poison and create havoc. The magical ability to make someone think or to escape from reality. We contain this undeniable influence to put a smile on someone’s face or a frown. The skill to create something and have it last forever. Impacting people years after your body has decomposed and became dust. Some how your thoughts still live. Having others hanging, waiting, demanding, and longing for just one more word. Words are extremely powerful. And we are the keepers of the power. Words can do anything. Word allows you to time travel and time leap. Words help you express your deepest emotions in a way others can relate. Words are can remain living in peoples hearts, minds and spirits. Those same words conveyed in the wrong way can get you into deep trouble and maybe even killed.
The dictionary states that words are a single distinct meaningful element of speech or writing, used with others or sometimes alone to form a sentence and typically shown with a space on either side when written or printed. I believe words are way beyond that.
Close your eyes and now imagine you are a blind, homeless person. You live in a world of darkness. You have never saw one day of light. You don’t have a home of your own. You live on the street and hold up a sign. A nice strander helped you wright “I am blind.” You wait for kind people to spare their loose jiggling change into an old used coffee cup. People come and go pasted you. Very few people leave you money, while others simply don’t even see you. A sweet perfume fills the air. The aroma of vanilla tickles your nose while hearing the clicking of stiletto heels that stop directly in front of you. You can feel that a women grabs your sign and starts to write something on it. Then places the sign back into your hands. The clicking get farther and farther as it blends into the sounds of the city. Immediately after she leave people start to drop change into your cup. So much change is dropped that the cup starts to over flow. You begin to wonder what did she write on my sign? after a few hours pass the sweet aroma retunes along with the clicking heel sounds. You ask her “What did you do to my sign?” She places her hand softly and kindly on your shoulder then replies “I wrote the same thing but in different words!” The sign said, “It’s a beautiful day and I can’t see it.”
If you change your words then, you can change your world. Not only did the words in this story make people comprehend the way you say and write things are important but also the way the story is written it makes you empathize for blind homeless people. Words alone can trigger emotions you didn’t think or wanted to feel.
The spoken word is one of the most powerful devices in the universe. Watch your words. Some say the spoken words are more powerful than thoughts. Words are thoughts that are expressed and when something is expressed it is pushed out. Words are a different level of vibration than thoughts. The Bible states with words that you are created in the image and likeness of the creator. That means you are sharing those creative properties. What you say matters because what you speak becomes matter. You are energy and your words are a form of this energy. Can you imagine the amount of energy that is produced from the language we use? Every cell in your body responds to the vibration in our words. Our subconscious mind is always listening and giving us what we believe to be true in our lives. This is why affirmations are so powerful.
Affirmations are the process of affirming what you. Making phases of emotional support or encouragement. The words and phrases that you habitually use are imprinted on the subconscious mind. Those words eventually become a belief. When you form beliefs miracles happen and your reality changes. When I do my affirmations I use the most powerful words in the universe “I AM”. I am, is the strongest statement in the universe. Whatever you put behind I am is created into your life. In ancient times uttering the words I am was forbidden and band. And was even punishable by death. The elders knew the power that those words have. When you say I am you are announcing the presence of God in you. So when doing your affirmations do them in the present tense I am no I will be or I am going to be, because those commands will always stay in the future. When saying your affirmations say them with conviction and authority. Demand your reality. Some of my favorite affirmations are I am healthy and I am wise. It takes 21 to 30 days to form a complete habit. So for the next 30 days I challenge you to only speak positive words and every time you think of a negative thought to say three positive things about the situation. Only speak words of good health prosperity and compassion and positivity. Talk about what you want and don’t talk about what you don’t want. Talk about the things you love and don’t even mention the things you fear. Do this for 30 days and watch how your reality changes into the desires that you have called for. There is great power in words! Do you use this power for good or evil?
