It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon as Mercy University hosted the Annual Founder’s Festival on the lawn in front of the newly built Tim & Lee Hall Pavillion. The festival kicked off the start of the semester and brought the Dobbs Ferry community for a very special day of celebration.
Family and friends were invited to enjoy a special day of fun with live music and delicious food from ice cream and catering trucks. Guests will play games, activities, and exchange raffle tickets to win prizes. Bouncy castle and inflatable games such as Hungry Hippo and Sword Fighting were included for the little kids and adults.
The mechanical bull made its first appearance in this year’s festival which the guest were looking forward to. Mercy University dance team, Prestigious Divas, put on a great performance to a huge crowd with their amazing dance routines. Festival stations gave away lollipops and T-shirts to guests who answered trivia questions for free.
Founder’s Festival also welcomed back Mercy alums to be a part of this cultural event. This festival is a special way for previous graduating classes to interact and advice the current students.
Daniel Cohen, Mercy class of 2017, has recognized the importance of the event from a Mercy student and alum perspective to continue the tradition of representing the Mercy community and acknowledging networking as an enjoyable part of the festival.
“Founders Festival brings the community together to enjoy a fun-filled celebration,” Cohen said. Networking with former students from previous classes is the best part of the festival.”
Mercy has prepared the Founders Festival to be fun every year by incorporating new games and activities for people to engage in an interactive environment. People will remember this event as an enjoyable and relaxing day and party with family, friends, alums and the community. Founders Festival is a great event for anyone who needs fun and can be available at the beginning of the semester every year at Mercy University.
