With Halloween just around the corner, it is time for everyone to start making their plans to celebrate.
For those of you who are looking to stay local this Halloween season, Mercy University’s Residential Life is hosting a Halloween Spirits & Shadows Dance!
The party will take place on Wednesday, October 30th from 8 PM to 11 PM in the Hudson Hall Commuter Lounge. Mercy’s favorite Residential Assistants; Rayanne Figueroa, Ayvia Vazquez, Favour Debekeme, and Campus Life staff will be your hosts for the evening and they want to see everyone there!
Coming off of last years, Halloween party success, this years party will be just as fun, if not more. Students can expect the Hudson Hall Commuter Lounge to be transformed into a vampire themed lair with many activities to keep the excitement up from start to finish.
“We’re expecting a live performance, a photo booth, a mocktail bar, great music, and a costume contest with a prize bigger than anything we’ve done before.” Figueroa said.
This is going to be a night of Halloween fun that students will not want to miss out on. Mercy’s RA’s centered this entire event around community building.
“The costumes allow for striking conversational starters and the attention to detail will definitely keep the party alive. This is definitely going to be a night to remember,” Vazquez said.
Maya Mohammed, a transfer student, in her junior year, who is settling back into the campus life environment, is getting ready to attend her first event back on campus.
“My first two years of college were online, so I never experienced a real college Halloween party. Having the opportunity to wear a costume, listen to spooky music, and be with friends is going to be amazing.” Mohammed stated.
Halloween night at Mercy University this year is going to blow past celebrations out of the park.
“Halloween on campus is going to be bigger and better than last year! With fruit punch filled blood bags and spooky decorations, our team went all out!” Vazquez said.
Get your friends together, start planning your costumes now, and prepare for a night full of creating new memories to always remember and never want to forget.
