Softball Names New Assistant Coach

Anthony Adolino was appointed as an assistant softball coach on Sept. 6, 2012 under Head Coach Mike Fazio.  He will work on hitting skills with the varsity field players while being responsible for the daily operations of the inaugural junior varsity squad.

Adolino brings a wealth of coaching experience over 15 years.  He has been the varsity coach at John S. Burke High School since 2009 and a private instructor for ages 9-20 in Orange County since 2003 as well as being a senior instructor at Frozen Ropes Corporate Training Centers since 2005, where he also served as the general manager of fast pitch softball.

He also coached the Monroe Crusaders 18U Travel team in 2012, the Frozen Ropes Travel 18U Elite and Diamond Dolls 16U Showcase Team in 2011, the Force 14U, 16U and 18U gold squads in 2010 and more stretching back to his days as assistant softball director for the Cornwell Little League and 14U All-Star coach from 1997-2000.

As a player, Adolino was an avid little leaguer and travel baseball player since he was eight years old, eventually playing four years of varsity softball at James I O’Neill high school and two years each at Ranger Jr. College and Texas Christian University.

He resides in New Windsor, N.Y. with his wife and 16-year old daughter.
