Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. – January 25, 2013 – Officials at Mercy College are pleased to announce that the College will acquire the former high school building and grounds of Our Lady of Victory Academy from the Sisters of Mercy.

For more than 30 years, Mercy College has rented classroom space at Our Lady of Victory Academy from the Sisters of Mercy. Most recently, the College entered into a leasing agreement of the building and its surrounding grounds for classroom use, use of the softball field and parking. The College intends for the property to be used in the same capacity going forward.

“This announcement could not come at a better time for Mercy College: we had a terrific 2012 with successes including an ‘A’ rating from Standard & Poor’s, creation of the Centers of Excellence in the School of Business and campus enhancements including new science labs and the new state-of-the-art turf athletic field. We look forward to another great year for Mercy College in 2013,” said Mercy College President Dr. Kimberly R. Cline.

The former Our Lady of Victory Academy is located at 565 Broadway, adjacent to the Mercy College property at 555 Broadway.
